Virtual Operation Notice

It is important to understand that this law office operates completely virtually, and there is no physical office where you can visit. Accordingly, any consultations, meetings, and general communications will be conducted via phone calls, text messaging, emails, and video conferencing using applications such as, but not limited to, WhatsApp, Zoom, Yahoo Mail, and Google. You may contact us by phone (either call or text) anytime between the hours of 8 am – 6 pm and you may email us at any time that is convenient to you. WE DO NOT PROVIDE IN-COURT LITIGATION SERVICES. However, in “special circumstances”, we may facilitate court appearances on behalf of our clients at an additional cost.

Examples of "special circumstances" where LegalEverse may facilitate court appearances on behalf of clients are exclusive and restricted to the following scenarios:

Unforeseen Complications: When a case that was initially managed virtually develops complications requiring in-person court representation.

High Stakes Cases: For cases involving significant financial, personal, or business stakes that necessitate the presence of an attorney in court.

Legal Requirements: If specific legal requirements mandate in-person representation that cannot be fulfilled through virtual means.

Case-by-Case Basis: Any other situation, not including the above, where, upon assessment, it is deemed necessary and in the best interest of the client to have a physical presence in court.

Document Transaction

Any documentary transactions between us and clients will be managed via a secure client portal, only accessible to clients via their email address provided to us. This allows the client to upload all required documents to complete legal services. If the email provided is not secure and private to the respective client, or has for any reason is believed to have become unsecured, LegalEverse must be notified immediately via written communication so the relevant records may be updated immediately.

Any secure link provided to a client by LegalEverse should  not be shared with any unauthorized person. If a client wishes to access the secure link via a different email address other than the one provided to us, the client must notify LegalEverse in writing so that access may be granted with the new email address provided. For the protection of clients’ data privacy and security, we recommend that clients do not share the link to their secure client portal with anyone else other than the individuals directly involved in the legal matter.

30-Minute Consultation: Ideal for addressing specific legal questions or issues that require more in-depth discussion than a Quick Call.

60-Minute Consultation: Suitable for more complex legal matters that need comprehensive analysis and advice.

Quick Call (15-Minute Consultation)

Our quick call service is reserved for clients who have a single question regarding one single legal issue. Examples include:

• Clarification on a specific clause in a contract or agreement.
• Information on required documentation for a property transfer.
• Explanation of a term or condition in a lease agreement.
• Guidance on the initial steps for starting a business.
• Quick overview of the probate process for a recently deceased relative.
• Understanding tenant rights in a rental dispute.

NOTE: DO NOT book a Quick Call if your issue is more complex or involves multiple questions. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND, and you will be required to book another consultation if your query cannot be properly addressed during the 15-minutes allotted for a Quick Call session.

Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Use our services only for lawful purposes and by these Terms.

Fees and Payments

LegalEverse offers flat-fee packages for common services and hourly rates for complex legal matters. Subscription-based pricing is available for ongoing legal counsel.

All fees are due as specified in the service agreement. Non-payment may result in suspension, termination of services, and/or legal actions.

Currency of Transactions

All payments made through our website are processed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) via a secure third-party payment processor. When you make a payment, your bank will convert the amount from your local currency to the CAD equivalent. The conversion rate applied will be determined by your banking provider at the time of the transaction.

Bank Conversion Rates Please note that the actual amount charged to your account in your local currency may vary depending on the conversion rate used by your bank. We advise checking with your banking provider for their current exchange rates and any additional fees they may charge for currency conversion before making a payment on our website.

Payment Methods

We accept various payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, and other online payment systems as specified on our website. All transactions are securely processed to ensure your financial information is protected.

For clients in Jamaica, we offer additional payment options. You can make payments directly to our local bank accounts via direct deposit. This allows you to avoid currency conversion and any associated fees from your banking provider. Please contact our office for the relevant banking details if you prefer to use this payment method.

Upon successful payment, you will receive an electronic invoice and receipt detailing the services purchased and the amount charged in CAD. If you use the local bank deposit option, your invoice will reflect the amount in Jamaican Dollars (JMD) and the equivalent CAD amount based on the current exchange rate.

After making a payment via local bank deposit, please send a confirmation email to info@legaleverse.com with proof of payment. This ensures we can promptly verify and process your transaction.

By proceeding with payment on our website or via direct deposit, you acknowledge and agree to these terms regarding currency conversion and the potential variance in the final amount charged to your account.
